Having discovered the presence of club lighting and been immediately taken by its art and beauty at the “Saint At Large” party when visiting NYC in 1991, AIBA decided to strive to become a club lighting engineer. After he gained his experience by working at club “Mission”, Azabu, Tokyo, starting in 1996, he launched his career as an exclusive lighting operator at Shibuya club “Womb” in April 2004, grand opening of the venue. He was acclaimed by the top DJs from overseas who collaborated with him for his excellent skills to create a high-spec space by making full use of Womb’s distinctive, high-end mechanical environment, manipulating moving lights, full-color laser system and liquid nitrogen smoke machines. He currently works freelance as a lighting technician.
In addition to his regular parties including Womb’s “O6S”, “Session”, “Trouble House” and ageHa’s “Ultra Music”, he has engaged in lighting/laser system building, configuration design, data programming, lighting/laser configuration, installation and operation for a number of fashion-related club events, gaining a high reputation as a lighting engineer as well.
